PAAVANI Ayurveda is an artisan line of small-batch, pure, organic health & skincare products formulated in Northern California. Handcrafted with the wisdom of Ayurveda, our products offer ancient traditions to the modern world, with the intent to reconnect people to their innate body wisdom. We stand behind the philosophy, that what is harmonious for one may not be for another. This is a concept that plays a significant role in the fundamental roots of Ayurveda. Through understanding & honoring our individual needs, we nurture the cultivation of health & beauty from within.
We believe that when it comes to self-care, creating daily rituals to honor & love the mind, body & skin will cultivate optimal wellbeing. PAAVANI products are intended to connect people to becoming a part of the self-care process. From empowering people to have the option to create their ideal skincare ritual to connecting our product’s users to the plants & minerals in which they are made from, to encouraging each other to make space in our days for the necessary ritual of self-care. By creating awareness around how we take care of ourselves & how we relate to the elements of the world, we rediscover our interconnection with the natural world & its rhythmic cycle.
Named after the Sanskrit term for Purity, PAAVANI takes pride in offering pure products that are made entirely of ingredients from the earth. Selecting quality ingredients to craft our line is important to uphold ancient Ayurvedic traditions & to offer products that are nutrient rich; containing the highest amount of healing constituents. All ingredients are selected from premium sources, holding high standards for organic, sustainable & ethical practices.
By setting honest standards of tradition & sustainability, our hope is to encourage others to do the same. We seek to raise the consciousness & awareness of the whole by practicing the philosophy of ahimsa or nonviolence in making our products. We believe that by offering respect & gratitude to the plants & minerals that make up our products, we are able to receive even deeper benefits from their innate wisdom.
PAAVANI products are intentionally packaged in glass rather than plastic because we believe in using the highest quality re-usable packaging to house our products. Glass is naturally impermeable, therefore it is chemically inert & does not degrade like plastic; allowing for a longer shelf life & a healthier YOU. Furthermore, glass is made of all-natural ingredients, just how we like it!
By choosing non-leaching material to contain our products, we maintain the integrity of the plants & minerals they are made of; further supporting our products to remain clean, pure & effective.
In addition to responsible container packaging, we source our labels from a small, eco-friendly company that uses wind-generated electricity & prints only on recycled paper stock. Our labels are also printed digitally, using water-based inks that generate little to no paper waste & no harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs); which are linked to causing cancer & birth defects. So with every purchase, you can rest assured knowing that by choosing PAAVANI you are supporting a conscious attempt to maintain the health of not only your skin, but also our earth.
Co-owners, Leah & Trudy, bow to the inspiring forces of the community in which they are blessed to call home. This healing, energetic center in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, is home to the sacred Yuba River, vast horizons of wild, natural beauty & creative people who influence them daily. The women give thanks to the powerful energy of this community & the support that it has offered to their creation of PAAVANI. Furthermore, the women seek inspiration & guidance through yoga & its philosophy, song, dance, shamanic journeying & travels around the world. PAAVANI would not be the thriving business it is today without the help of these awakening forces.
An important component of PAAVANI is to share the wisdom & tradition of Ayurveda. Throughout the year, we host educational workshops & presentations, as well as dedicate a large portion of our website to Ayurvedic Education & Philosophy. We believe the more people that understand the ways of Ayurveda, the healthier our world will be. PAAVANI dreams that one day all families will have the ability to raise their children with the principles of Ayurveda & that the world will find healing solace through each individual’s cultivation of personal balance.

Love my new skincare line from Paavani. I’ve been an esthetician for 30 years, a spa therapist for 20 years and I am also an Ayurvedic practitioner that studied extensively in India. Paavani makes high quality formulations and is a female owned company. All the products smell delicious and feel amazing on my skin. I have been ordering my Ayurveda dinacharya and sadhana products from Paavani Ayurveda since the start of the pandemic and couldn’t be happier with my purchases. I am a wellness practitioner and I regularly give samples and recommend these products to my clients. My favourite items are the facial products, the oil pulling oil, and the ghee. I also use the spice kits and golden milk in my daily cooking and recipes. Another thing that is unique to this company is the option of travel size or full size products. I love putting the oils in the travel size containers so they are easier to heat up in the morning. I am able to run the bottles under warm water instead of boiling water and soaking the larger bottles only to use a small amount. I also love not having to tote around the large bottles when travelling. The customer service and ordering process is also super friendly and easeful. Being in Canada, I do pay a bit of extra shipping fees but it is worth it for the higher quality products and support an ethical grassroots company. I definitely recommend :)

Paavani is my favorite Ayurveda product company, hands down. They are the best! I'm picky about what I put on and in my body as someone who lives a holistic lifestyle and as a student & practitioner of Ayurveda -- their handmade organic products exceed all expectations. I've loved everything I've ever used, but my absolute favorites are the nasya oil, abhyanga oil, aromatherapy sprays, and rosewater. I've also gifted their products and kits to others who have loved them. Paavani puts so much love and care into every product they make and you can tell! Could not recommend them more. Plus, they are lovely, kind humans and who doesn't want that energy going into the products they use?!

I have been using paavani products for about 3 years. I love them all! I use the skin care line for Pitta skin, the scrub, toner and serum feel wonderful and my skin is softer and always feels hydrated. In the last year I’ve started using their Aryuvedic spice blends, spicing up my food and improving my digestion. I love feeling good using their products - I know they are sourced and made with love. ?

I absolutely love PAAVANI's products. I am impressed with their quality and the care they put into each batch. The natural ingredients have been helpful and care gentle on my sensitive skin. I recommend the tongue scrapers to all of my patients and keep inventory of the tongue scrapers at my clinic as they are a necessity most people don't know about! Highly recommend PAAVANI Ayurveda and their talented practitioners!
