Kameko’s passion to alternative healing modalities, including but not limited to Ayurveda, aligns with her commitment to empowering individuals everywhere to simply feel better. Acknowledging the increasing commodification of health and wellness, she reminds, “These practices don’t cost money – many don’t even require you to leave your own backyard. It’s all about knowledge, not things-and I’m committed to teaching anyone who’s curious.” Her activist spirt remains alive and well, particularly driving her work with marginalized communities. “Self-care, especially for women, is a radical practice. To value ourselves. It’s the only means by which we can support others in need. If we’re not taking care of the individual, we can’t take care of the collective.”
