Debra is passionate about health and wellness. She found her center and her passion the first time she stepped onto a yoga mat and experienced the peace, joy and contentment of the practice. Her first teacher, Tina Lanzoni, guided her to Beryl Bender Birch, who inspired her to teach. Debra considers Beryl Bender Birch to be her guide, and has also studied with David Swenson, Scott Blossom, the teachers of Kripalu and Bhavani Maki of Yoga Hanalei. As of January 1ST 2019, she has over 4,300 hours of on the mat teaching experience, with students of all ages, abilities and limitations, combining yoga, breathing and ayurveda into each experience in her practice.

Debra has been a student of nutrition and ayurveda for most of her adult life. It was a natural evolution for Debra to begin formal studies of Ayurveda at Kripalu Center. She is certified at the RYT500 level through both the Hard and the Soft Yoga Institute (Beryl Bender Birch) and Kripalu Center for Yoga. She is a graduate of the Kripalu School of Ayurveda and is registered with NAMA at the practitioner level. Sharing the beauty of Ayurveda and yoga with her clients is truly a gift in her life.
