Sophia is first and foremost, a student of the cosmos. She has studied Ayurvedic medicine and incorporates that into her offerings of consultations, workshops, classes, and a full apothecary line optimizing hemp-based cannabinoids and herbal medicines. She strives to bring together ancient philosophy with the modern day world in a way that is insightful. Sophia is based out of Southcoast Massachusetts.
Avraveda is an interwoven spectrum of the healing components founder Sophia Avramides has utilized in her daily life to expose more and more health, vitality, and truth.
Sophia’s passion is driven by a mashup of her ancestral Hellenic background, Ayurvedic wisdom, evidence-based research, plant medicine, entheogenic experiences, natural remedies, subtle energy pathways, deep community connection through storytelling and radical, genuine acceptance of who we are.
Alongside crafting local and organic herbal remedies, Sophia leads workshops on self-truths, Ayurvedic philosophy, self-care practices, and intuitive plant medicine practices (see ‘Upcoming Events’ for more details).
The offerings expand as Sophia broadens her own understandings of the inner and outer workings of our bodies and interconnectivity with all around us.
Sophia holds a degree in Health Psychology from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. She is a NAMA-certified Ayurvedic Health Counselor with various subtle energy trainings.
