I first learned about Ayurveda in 1990 when my young daughter woke up one morning crying because her fingers and toes were swollen, purple and sore. I took her to visit our general practitioner, who referred us to the rheumatologist, who referred us to a different rheumatologist, who referred us to a neurologist…you get the picture. No one could figure out what was wrong with her. Then a friend of mine suggested I see an Ayurvedic Practitioner. I had never heard of Ayurveda but trusting my friend, we took the first appointment. The Ayurvedic Practitioner suggested I change my daughter's diet, give her an herbal tincture, and apply a medicated oil to her fingers and toes. Within a couple of weeks, my daughter’s fingers and toes looked normal, and the swelling and pain were gone.  

It was the beginning of my journey.  I read everything I could find about Ayurveda and dove into this vast and wonderful ocean of knowledge.  Amazed by how my daughter was helped by Ayurveda I moved my family across the country to study with Dr. Vasant Lad at the Ayurvedic Institute.  Bliss! The Ayurvedic Institute is the oldest and largest Ayurvedic school in the country and sets the standard for quality education.  In addition to Dr. Lad, I have studied with Dr. David Frawley, Vyas Houston, Dr. Robert Svoboda, Maya Tiwari and many, many others.  I graduated in 1997 and opened a clinic to share what I had learned.

In addition to Ayurveda, I have practiced Hatha Yoga since 1977.  I am blessed with a strong intuition and feel at home doing energy work.  I am certified in Reiki and have studied long term with the healing center Figueira in Brazil.

I love Ayurveda's beauty, simplicity, and effectiveness.  Ayurveda supports the bodies innate healing abilities and is a lifestyle that can improve your daily enjoyment of living.

I feel grateful and honored to have all of my wonderful teachers, clients and experiences that allow me to do the work that I feel so passionate about.  I am constantly learning. I love what I do.  I am truly blessed.
