Susan Bass is a Board Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner and Ayurvedic Yoga Therapist who founded The Sarasvati Institute of Ayurveda & Yoga Therapy and the Sarasvati Mission (a non-profit dedicated to preserving the Vedic Sciences). She holds a Master of Science in Ayurveda & Integrative Medicine from Maharishi University, and has been training people the Vedic traditions for over 17 years. Susan teaches Ayurveda as Adjunct Faculty at the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) and the North Carolina College of Natural Medicine (NCCNM) as well as teaching full time at The Sarasvati Institute (SIAYT). Susan has taught Ayurveda at OHSU Medical School, University of Portland School of Nursing, and Clark College.
Susan left her career at The Wall Street Journal in 2003 after Ayurveda saved her life as she wanted to share this ancient, sacred knowledge that helped her so much. Susan studied Vedic Science at The Ayurvedic Institute, The Kripalu School of Ayurveda, and Maharishi University. Susan Bass, Ayurvedic Educator, teaching at my own school, The Sarasvati Institute, as well as at the North Carolina College of Natural Medicine (NCCNM) and the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM). We’re told early in life that we each have a purpose. To me someone’s purpose is their soul’s deepest desire, their gift to share with the world. For some, discovering what that is might happen with ease. For most of us, the dream reveals itself slowly if we can first create the environment for it to flower.
