NAMA has been setup to promote the USA Standards for Ayurveda (such as "Ayurveda Body of Knowledge" [e.g. PMI had PMBOK for PMPs etc.], ICD/CPT approved codes for Ayurveda Protocols (for financials sustainability etc. for practitioners) and then also ensure Ayurveda Practitioners get towards their Professional and Business Success (say tip-sheets, SOPs on legal, softwares, operational, set-up, does & don't etc.). I'm a Student (1+ year) as well as Professional (2+ years) NAMA Member, but I see neither any Mission, Vision and/nor any Deliverables so far (there is no goals setting even during Boards elections; nil agenda by board candidates or current Board members in the public domain or members areas), but I'll continue to pay my membership, volunteer and support so that in future we have "these deliverables" in terms of Ayurveda Standards, ABoK, approved ICDs/CPTs code for Ayurveda Protocols and for most TRANSPARENCY of this on NAMA website. I had neither seen any deliverables nor I heard such work-in-progress at NAMA so I decided to put my thoughts here for WiiFM and others. I know a lot of committed volunteers are putting many efforts from over a decades but I saw no deliverables in these directions. What else is more important?! So, How are the NAMA certifying Ayurveda Schools or Practitioners without having any published standards or on what basis "published" ABoK standards are developed so that everyone knows the Ayurveda standards or ABoK in western context?!
