I worked with Dr. Lina Thakar several years ago, and I was too traumatized to post reviews until now. I was mostly. seeking help with were digestive issues, and issues with not having regular bowel movements. Dr. Lina Thakar assured me that if I sign up for her prescribed, very expensive, program, cost: around $4500, I would revert to excellent health and balance by the end of the program. The program consisted of regular, mediocre massages, by mostly incompetent people with only minimal training by Dr. Lina Thakar. Also, a prescribed diet of only or mostly lentils and rice, and Ayurvedic herbs. A part of the program was being served the lentil and rice dish after the massages, and it was so shockingly bad, and the vegetables seemed to be canned or frozen, with no salt or spices, that I was unable to eat it. Everything about this program seemed careless. I got so much worse on this program, that I essentially stopped having bowel movements altogether. When I told Dr. Thakar, whose availability to talk to me was very sparse, she was friendly, but shockingly unhelpful and didn’t have more than a few minutes to spare. When the situation didn’t improve after several weeks, she was out of town, and even though we have the technology to talk to people who are physically in a different place, she delegated dealing with me to her very young assistant, who was kind and caring and offered some helpful advice, but didn’t really have the knowledge and experience to resolve my issues. Dr. Lina Thakar seems to be more Intersted in self promotion than actually helping her patients. A person who cares so little should not be working in the healing arts.
