Ayurveda Practitioners
Marissa Mele is the owner of Five Prana Ayurveda and is a certified Ayurvedic Health Counselor through the NAMA (National Ayurvedic Medical Association) organization.
She received her Ayurvedic Health Counselor as well as her Panchakarma training from Dr. (Vaidya) Lina Thakar B.A.M.S. at the Ayurvedic Integrative Wellness Institute in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Marissa is also certified in Ayurvedic Body Treatments such as Abhyanga, Shirodhara, Nasya, and Swedana from the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center at the Sivananda Yoga Ashram. She has also completed a certification in Marma Therapy with Dr. Vasant Lad at the Ayurvedic Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Marissa is also a dedicated and devoted yogi who has been practicing yoga for over 20 years. She received her yoga teacher training certification in 1998 with Joanne Evans of the Deerfield Beach Yoga Center. Marissa is a member of the AAPNA (Association of Ayurvedic Professionals of North America) and NAMA (National Ayurvedic Medical Association). Marissa is also a graduate of the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor and the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA. She relishes the opportunity to share her Ayurvedic knowledge with the community and beyond.
