Recipes: Ginger Garlic Soup

Dosha benefits: Pitta

Ingredients:

  • Ginger 25 gms
  • Garlic 50 gms
  • Onion 50 gms
  • Pepper powder 1 pinch
  • Oil ¼ tsp
  • Corn flour ½ tsp
  • Cumin powder 1 pinch
  • Coriander powder 1 pinch
  • Broccoli florets for garnishing

Recipe:

  • Grate the ginger, peel the onion and garlic and chop them. 
  • On a pan, put little oil and sauté the onion, garlic and ginger.
  • Add water, bring to boil and simmer for half an hour. 
  • Put it in a food processor and collect the soup.
  • Or grind in a mixer and strain it.
  • Add corn flour and boil until it thickens.
  • Add pepper, cumin, and coriander powder. 
  • Finally garnish the soup with broccoli florets and serve hot.

Ayurveda Tip:

  • This soup is a must-have in winters and is soothing when tired, stressed or sick with cold flu.
